Fashion Jewelry Bracelet
Fashion Bracelet is Jewelry worn around wrist or arm: a piece of jewelry that is
worn around the wrist or arm, e.g. a chain or bangle
Bracelet, ornament worn encircling the wrist or upper arm, sometimes termed
armlet when worn above the elbow. Fashion Bracelets have been worn by men
and women throughout the world since early times. In the Stone Age, bracelets
were made of strings of shells, bones, teeth, or claws. Later, gold, silver,
bronze, and other metals were used, often as a setting for precious stones.
Fashion Bracelets are frequently mentioned in the Old Testament; single,
hinged bracelets as well as strings of gold beads and hoops have been found
in ancient Egyptian tombs. German and Scandinavian warriors during the
Bronze Age wore spiral armlets that covered the entire forearm for protective
and decorative purposes. Etruscan jewelry included bracelets consisting of
hinged panels. The women of ancient Greece wore bracelets of various
designs, such as a Heracles knot or a coiled serpent. Sythian nobles wore
rigid gold bracelets with finely worked animal motifs. A common form of
adornment in ancient Rome, gold bracelets were also conferred upon Roman
soldiers for valor in battle. In pre-Columbian America, Native American artisans
made bracelets from gold, rock crystal, and precious minerals. In ancient India
and in Africa, warm regions where relatively few clothes were worn, bracelets
and other jewelry were an important part of dress. Fashion Bracelets are a
favorite form of jewelry, principally among women, in modern times. Popular
styles in the West in the 20th century include bangles, charm bracelets, link
identification bracelets, and copies of ancient designs.
